Overview

Northwind Outfitters is a outdoor retail company based in Portland, Oregon, USA. In 2024 we partnered with them on strategy, ux design, woocommerce development.

The challenge

Northwind's legacy checkout took six steps and lost most mobile shoppers before payment. Abandonment sat above 78% and support tickets about failed orders were rising.

Our approach

We re-architected the flow into a single responsive page, added express wallets, and instrumented every field with analytics. Guest checkout and inline validation removed the biggest friction points.

The results

Within one quarter mobile conversion nearly doubled and abandonment fell sharply, while checkout-related support tickets dropped by more than half.
